MoneyWell Express App Reviews

This app is a handy way for me to see what my budget looks like at a glance when away from the desktop version.

I’ve used the Mac app for a few years now and have loved it for the most part. It has it’s quirks but nothing serious. I was excited to discover there was a mobile app that can sync with the mac app for quick snapshots of my budget when I’m out and about. I installed the app, connected it to my paid dropbox account where I have over a TB of data. Everything seemed to go smooth and the app told me it was syncing. Once it was done “syncing” nothing shows up on the screen, none of my buckets accounts, transitions or anything. I checked the sync status and it claims it’s last sync was moments ago but still nothing showing up in the app.

Works with ios9, easy to enter transactions when away from home. Looking forward to a refresh.

2 issues I have with this app. #1. It takes days for someone to respond to you about a simple question. They need online chat with representatives available to resolve questions. #2. I purchased this app years ago and the new owner of MoneyWell fixes a couple of bugs and now is charging $50 if you want the update. Thats abuse to loyal customers. If your going to charge that than add some much needed NEW features as well as a re-design. To charge for bug fixes??? To be fair I really like the app but the support is seriously lacking. I feel like they are at a standstill with the app and arent progressing! Please take this as constructive criticism and work on solving these issues. Thank you!

Intuitive, lets me quickly enter payments immediately after making them. Wish it connected to my credit union but not much of a downside.

Last update was 12-2013 so this is a much needed update. Seems to be all under the hood changes with API. A couple visual updates too, but core functionality remains the same. Heres hoping this is the first update of many.

This is a great companion to MoneyWell for iPad and MoneyWell for Mac. I have long been a MoneyWell for iPad user and it is nice to be able to quickly add transactions on the go.

Sync is working again. Awesome!

...to be sure but it works! Kevin and Co. are breathing new life into the awesome suite of Moneywell apps. Happy to see them updating again!

Glad to see the new update. My sync issues have disappeared and Im up and running again.
